Spicy Potatoes recipe #recipes #weightloss

Need a healthy side dish? I got you. This is one of my husband's favs 😋

POTATOES
6-8 Gold potatoes (6 larger or 8 smaller)
3 Tbs olive oil
1/4 Tsp Himalayan Salt
1/8 Tsp pepper
1/4 Tsp onion powder
1/2 Tsp garlic powder
1/4 Tsp Cayenne pepper
1 Tbs nutritional yeast

SPICY SAUCE
1 Jalapeno (cut in half longwise)
A few slices of onion
4 garlic cloves (keep outer peel)
About 10 cilantro leaves
1.5 lemons juiced
1 Tbs nutritional yeast
1 Tsp sage
1/4 Tsp basil
1/8 Tsp oregano
2 Tbs olive oil

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F
2. Chop your potatoes into bite size pieces then use a paper towel to absorb any liquid from the potatoes. This will help them get nice and crispy.
3. Drizzle potatoes with olive oil, toss well, and then season with Himalayan salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and nutritional yeast. Use your hands to mix well.
4. Put the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer on 400 for 15 minutes, mixing the basket halfway through.
5. Meanwhile on a greased baking sheet, place your jalapeno (cut side down), onion, and garlic cloves on the sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Roast in the oven for 10 minutes.
6. When the jalapeno, onion, and garlic are done, let them cool for a couple minutes. Then place them all in a blender followed by cilantro, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, basil, sage, oregano, and olive oil. Blend until it reaches a smooth consistency.
7. Once the potatoes are done, drizzle your spicy sauce on top of the potatoes. Serve and enjoy!
